It’s our annual “Running with the Cows” event….the 5/15 Farm Run presented by Sports 4 at the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum on the grounds of the Central Experimental Farm…..It’s traditionally a beautiful evening for either a 5K or 15K run on the farm. New this year we’re pleased to introduce a Kids Run to kick the evening off as well.

5/15 is also significant in that at 5:15pm the cow whisperers will be running the cows to the field at that time…we invite you to bring the whole family out to enjoy!

We also would like to acknowledge the support we receive from the Friends of the Farm who prepare our refreshing post-race snacks under the big tent!

Start times: 1K – Kids Run 6:00pm 5K/15K- 6:30pm

RACE INFO

5K/15K: Start and Finish are on Morningside Lane just south of the NCC Scenic Driveway. The course follows the roads/paths and sidewalks of the Central Experimental Farm. There is a small section (approx. 400m) set on gravel pathways. 5K runners will complete one loop. 15K runners will complete 3 loops.

Please note: Athletes competing with Wheelchair – This race navigates over curbs, gravel paths and sidewalks making it unsuitable for wheelchair racing. It may be suitable for recreational competitors. Please consult further with Joe Du Vall should you have any questions. operations@runottawa.ca

Please note Run Ottawa Members will receive $10 discount. Youth member $5 discount.

Timing will be provided by Sportstats. Full results will be posted on the Sportstats website post-race.

If you’d like to pick-up your bib/shirt in advance we have an opportunity for you to do so. Please note at this time there will be no on-site registration.

Kit pick up: Open 5:00pm to 6:15pm
Meadowview Barn, Building 95…The Big Tent – Agriculture and Food Museum – Central Experimental Farm

Parking: Please follow the parking signs directing you to the free parking lots near the start/finish lines.

Baggage Check: Baggage check will be provided on site.

Washrooms: Limited indoor washrooms are available on site within building 95. Comfort stations will be available at start line.

Hydration: Our official water supplier is Aquahaulics featuring bottle refill station and misting tent. Nuun hydration will be available in recovery.

First Aid : St. John Ambulance will be on site throughout the event.

POST RACE

Awards: Within the post-race social under The Big Tent, awards will be provided to the following:

Top finisher prizes will be given out to the first three male and female finishers in both 5K and 15K. Please note overall winners are not eligible for age category prizes.

There will also be age category prizes for the first in category. (men and women)

5 km: 14 and under/ 15-19 / 20-29 / 30-39 / 40-49 / 50-59 / 60-69 / 70+ / 70-79 and 80+

15 km: 15-19 / 20-29 / 30-39 / 40-49 / 50-59 / 60-69 / 70 Plus

For all other participants and Run Ottawa Members there will be additional prize draws featuring Sports 4 gift cards/Zizu glasses/Run Ottawa Race entries and more!
