About Here.Now.Yoga

With large windows and high ceilings, the HereNow Space is a beautiful setting to practice movement and mindfulness. This one hour open level class will feature a hatha/vinyasa style practice infused with meridian theory and acupressure. Class will cover practice in breathing, meridian stretches, traditional yoga postures, self acupressure and deep relaxation - all of which will work to balance, relax and restore. Melissa also focuses on heart opening poses which is perfect for the person that spends all day hunched over at a computer or all evening crafting. Please bring your own mat. All are welcome!


About our instructor Melissa Soong:
After over a decade of yoga-ing around NYC, Melissa completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training with Science of Self Teacher Training (www.scienceofselfytt.com) where she continues to be inspired by the deep practice, knowledge, and discipline of her teachers. She hopes to pass on this inspiration to others - of compassion, empowerment, and healing. Melissa works to encourage a personal yoga practice for all regardless of ability - yoga is everywhere! Additionally, Melissa has a masters degree in social work and is a hardcore knitter. She works to synthesize her knowledge in creating, social services, and yoga to help others realize their own potential.
