The Rye Summer Classic Series is a popular series of three Friday evening events and in 2018 returns for the 13th year. Featuring two 10k races and a season-ending final 5k. The race taking place on Friday, 7th September is a fast and flat 5k.
The route is a traffic free road, out and back course through the Rye Harbour Nature Reserve. The course is accurately measured, fast and flat and, if the weather is fine, a perfect opportunity for a PB.
Suitable for experienced runners and beginners alike, the event also includes a Children's Race.
The Course
This accurately-measured course is a fast and flat, out and back route along the paved paths of the Rye Harbour Nature Reserve. When conditions are favourable, it can make for some fast times - but, be prepared, it can be windy!
