First held in 1993 as part of the fundraising for the Sports Pavilion on George V Playing Field. Will Page, a keen runner was just starting to organise the event when he was tragically killed in a road accident and the race went ahead in Will's name and has been held ever since.
Now in it's 26th year the Newick Will Page 10k has grown to be one of the popular races on the Sussex racing calendar.
The race is open to all runners and offers trophies for leading men and ladies as well as age categories.
New for 2018 - Kid's race - Entry available on the day.
The Course
The Newick Will Page 10k is run mainly on scenic, undulating roads south of the village. The roads are narrow so runners should keep to the left and not bunch across the roads as traffic moves fast despite warning notices along the course. The race is headed by a lead car and an ambulance will follow the runners.
First Aid
First Aid will be in attendance on the day and the course will be marshalled to provide assistance. There will also be a sweep vehicle following the race to ensure that nobody is left behind and that all runners are accounted for.
