About The Clacton Half Marathon & 10k

The Clacton Half Marathon and 10k returns to Clacton and is held as part of the Clacton Carnival. The Half Marathon is a flat out and back course along the seafront and is ideally suited to runners of all standards.
If the Half Marathon isn't quite your distance then why not try the Clacton 10k? A fast and flat 10k along the seafront which will suit runners new to the 10k distance or those hoping for a fast time. 
The Clacton Carnival Golden Mile Fun Run should appeal to sprinters of all ages, sizes and abilities. Test yourself against the best on this pancake flat 1 Mile course.
Bespoke medals and finish line goodies are on offer to all finishers.

The Course
This accurately-measured course is a fast and flat out and back course along the sea front. Half Marathon runners will complete two laps with 10k runners completing one lap. There will be kilometre and mile markers along the route and it will be fully marshalled; Please be courteous of any other promenade users on the course.
First Aid
St John Ambulance or an alternative medical provider will be in attendance on the day and the course will be marshalled to provide assistance. There will also be a sweep marshal following the race to ensure that nobody is left behind and that all runners are accounted for.

Race HQ: Seafront opposite Fourth Avenue, Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, CO15 5BL
The Race Headquarters will be on the Seafront opposite Fourth Avenue. The start/finish area will be on the promenade immediately outside the HQ and signs will be clearly posted to direct you. There is car parking available at the HQ and surrounding streets.
The closest railway station is Clacton-on-Sea and it's roughly a mile from the station to the race HQ.

Please enclose a large stamped addressed envelope. Please make cheques payable to 'Clacton Carnival Association'. Postal entry closes four days before race day, but entries can be accepted on the day, subject to availability.
