About Whiskies of the World 2018

Go ahead, pick your poison. You know whisky is the best choice, but which brand will satisfy your palate the most? There’s no telling what should fill your glass until you belly up to Whiskies of the World, a delightfully boozy adventure featuring the finest whiskies from around the globe. Beginning in 2011 in San Francisco, Whiskies of the World has culminated into a series of five festivals in San Francisco, San Jose, Austin, Houston, Dallas and Atlanta.

The Whisky

Imagine having a world’s worth of whisky under one roof. Whiskies of the World packs over 200 whiskies from around the world, and they’re all at your fingertips for you to enjoy (within reason, of course). You’ll catch a whiff and get a taste of phenomenal whiskies made in the USA, Canada, Scotland, Ireland, Japan, Australia and elsewhere. Keep your tasting glass handy for all the wonderful whisky styles you’ll discover, and prepare your throat for a deliciously stinging sensation as each sample cascades down your gullet.

The Experience

Once upon a time, you waltzed into a cocktail bar and were immediately overwhelmed by the sheer number of options. The moody, somewhat-experienced bartender demands an order, but you have no idea what you want, and he has no time to walk you through every alcoholic beverage behind the counter. This problem is nonexistent at Whiskies of the World.

Makers and brand ambassadors from each distillery are present to help you make the most of your experience. Whether you’re a budding connoisseur or have never taken a swig, these experts will ensure your whisky-tasting journey is a memorable one. To further educate yourself on what you’re sampling, you can attend a series of masterclasses and entertaining whisky seminars. If you’re curious about which foods and cigars pair best with a certain brand or style of whisky, Whiskies of the World will show you the way. There’s no rush, either; you don’t need to knock back shot after shot to figure out what you like. Take your time to register each sample’s unique flavors and how they differ across multiple brands.
